They steal your $$ then your home!!!!

So those who now have realized that the housing down turn was not just a lot of lousy homeowners not paying but the banks forcing their clients to foreclose by raising payments, refusing loan modifications, force placing insurance on homes that already were insured, losing customers payments that were made and not bothering to find them, not dropping interest rates- which they were paid billions buy our government to do. Why- because now we know the banks insured these homes at the the time the loans were taken out and did credit default options on these homes as well-so if they could get their lendee to some how miss a payment, question a payment...

they're by being paid 2 or 3 times the value of the home if the owner was foreclosed on. They are laughing all the way to their bonuses!!! And millions of homeowners are left with nothing...all their equity stolen, out on the street with ruined credit......what did our "fast track" Judges do in the courts???? Did they listen to the homeowners or just the banks....how long can a homeowner afford to pay a lawyer $175 an hour to defend against these big banks and their attorneys before they are broke and give up???

THIS is the WORST SCAM to hit our country in decades and it is still going on. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.....who will take responsibility for the billions of dollars taken from homeowners...the banks, judges, attorneys.......who has the balls to really put this under a microscope and do the right thing? Watch 99 Homes good movie on what happened in the SW Florida market.

Should people have to commit suicide because everything they have is gone-stolen from greedy banks? I think not!FIGHT BACK!

I have a question my ex had a townhouse put in his name and he moved out and left the house for my daughter and I to live in as long as I agreed to pay the house payment to him and he would pay it directly to the mortgage company I was wondering if it is illegal to take a house payment and not use it to make the house payment

Hopefully you have that agreement in writing or else he can take your money and run, leaving you homeless. You'd then need to pay an attorney to fight him in court and attempt to prove the agreement - by then you could be evicted by the bank.

-sorry

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! GREEDY EVERBANK!

And to finish this story for you, if you were successful like I was, they toppled another $21,000 onto my mortgage in 2009 and I still haven't been able to pay that down with my monthly payments so they really don't do you any favors!! Poor customer service on top of that!!!

And if you have a payment you need to call in at the end of the month to try to pay within 30 days, they topple another $20 fee on top of that and refuse to waive it when they could to try to help out all our struggling homeowners that are trying to pay!

Real piece of work! And I am specifically speaking about Manager Milene, Agent #MQ5

Everhome's Actions Swept Under Carpet

The permanent damage that Everhome Mortgage caused for thousands of families will never truly be exposed. What they did during the time of the mortgage disaster should have been stopped in its tracks.

It was well known what they were doing...and they got away with it. The small reimbursements that were given out after the fact was basically humorous and a tiny slap on the hand. So many families in our area who had Everhome mortgages lost their homes. Hard working people who were simply caught up in a scam that Everhome and other mortgage companies were getting away with.

If you are looking for a mortgage company....it would be in your best interest to stay away from Everhome. Their customers are certainly not in their priority.

The best decision we made was to change to a reputable mortgage lender that is well organized and places their customers #1 priority. Stay away from Everhome!

To Whom It May Concerns:

I am writing in regards to the poor treatment I have received from your staff. Of all the people who've I've come in contact with, there was only ONE who treated me with respect. Actually two, because Mrs. Terry's supervisor did as well.

A little about my story. My husband was souly responsible for insuring our bills were taken care of. When I received the certified letter from you, that is when I realized that that it was not being taken care of. I was hurt and disappointed because I was being misled the same as you were. It of course was worst for me because he was my husband. I called to see what I needed to do to correct this matter. Everyone, including and especially my specialist were rude, unprofessional and plain out hurtful. There I was trying to clear up a matter that I should have known about but didn't and all they saw were $$$ signs. There was no empathy, caring or even careful thoughts that were expressed. I was lied to by them as well. I was told I was three months in the hole and needed to pay the entire thing even though the 3rd payment was not even due yet.

It was Terry who shared with my my options. Who told me what needed to be done (not what I better do our I will lose my house) She was thoughtful and explained the details to me. Which included the 142.96, I was told by her that if paid that, along with the 2 months in the whole, and then set up my 3rd monthly payment to be withdrawn on the 15th, I would be current. By the time I got through speaking with her, I was in tears, for she treated my like a human being. I even spoke with her manager to thank her for even hiring her. I emotionally told the manager how the others treated me and she was very apologetic. I was told I would never experience that from any of them again. However. today, I was again.

I noticed the 142.96 (the exact same fees I owed and paid before) were back on my account. I was told there was nothing that could be done and that I had to pay it again. All of those fees again, for not even being late for I paid that 3rd fee on the 15th. The day before my grace period was over.

I asked to speak with my specialist but she REFUSED to come to the phone. She said for the rep to tell me that there was nothing she could do and that I just needed to pay it-minus the 70 late fee if one haven't been waived before. Again, my payment was post dated to you for the 15th so there should not have been a late fee assessed. The gall of my supposedly rep to not even come to the phone we again, truly disrespectful. As I am typing this message to you, I've been on hold waiting for a supervisor for 20;21 minutes and counting.

Yes, I'm upset, disappointed and disgusted about they way your staff treats hard working and HONEST people. I have mislead you, my husband has. As a matter of fact, I have done everything that has been asked of me up until this point. Including repaying fees that have already been taking care of.

This being said, I'm so done with this bank! I am currently looking for a new company to take over this loan and I DON"T care if my interest rate is higher than what you are outragiously charing me right now! I will NEVER let your staff talk to me the way that they have in the past. Again, I thank Mrs. Terry and her supevisor for being the exception and wish you could clone them. It's apparent your staff is working in a toxic environment and should be cleaned out asap.

Everhome Mortgage - Mortgage Review from Orlando, Florida

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We had a mortgage with Ohio Savings Bank it was sold to everhome. For 5 years we made our payments on time.

An accident left me disabled and I went behind on my mortgage. It wasn't two months before everhome started foreclosure. On top of paying the amount due we were charged fees an attorney charges totaling $16,000. We had to sell a car and liquidate everything we at in order to prevent foreclosure.

This company is unethical immoral and irresponsible.

I do not know how they continue to be in business. Thank God for the Harp program we were able to refinance at 2.75 % and have never been late since when I mortgage.

Trying to Refinance

We've been trying to refinance through the HARP program for the last three years, but because we signed our agreement two weeks after the deadline that congress set, we've been shut out.

Out mortgage is just over 6% and is the type of mortgage that congress intended HARP to help, but since we aren't within the deadline, there is no so to speak "Spirit of HARP."

We have a large mortgage and if we were to refinance under HARP, we would save over a thousand dollars a month. It would be huge for us. But we can't get Everhome to do anything.

Now we have another problem to add. I have a hernia that is being caused by a cancerous tumor. Thanks to wonderful Obamacare, in order to take care of this it will cost me anywhere from 12 to 20 thousand dollars after insurance to get treatment. If I get cancer treatment without getting our mortgage redone, I lose the ranch and home to my wife, kids, grandkid, 3 horses and standard poodles who think they are border collies. I can't let that happen. So my only choice is to keep going and let my life insurance pay off the bills, which it will, 100%.

It's a shame companies that were bailed out by the taxpayer, have such little regard for anything besides themselves.

Call your local representative and let them help you through the steps. I have this mortgage co and it took weeks of persistant faxing of documents..go to the harp web site and find out there. I think you have to be turned down for one program..and it helps if you let a few mortgsge payments slide while you psy the other bills.

They took almost $25,000 forebearance Plan and after Modification, they promised payment reduction sold loan at original balance.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This company is the king of BLOOD SUCKING. They bought the loan from another company SAXXON.

The first thing they did was demanded $6,250. to get me back on tract. I paid them $2,400 a month for 4 months. They then said they were modifying in and no payments for 3 months.

They then said they would assist me with modification. I sent them $2,500 to start a forbearance agreement. I called them and they said if I paid for 5 months $2,800. a month they would do a modification.

I paid the requested amount for 6 months. In Feb.2009 they sent me Notice that plan was and new payment would start in March. In March I received notice from new company with original loan amount. When I called I was told "Good Luck".

They used First American Loan mitigation. What they didn't know is that I am a Recording Engineer and recorded all their conversations. I have documents and CD's to back me up.

I am willing to share this with anyone that has or will start a Class Action Lawsuit. These are white collar crooks.

Pull up court docs on Everhome/Everbank they had a consent order-several in fact -demanding they stop doing business...State of Florida vs Everhome/Bank.....they still continue to operate fraudulently and just disobey the ruling judges orders. They make so much money they don't care.

Now the game seems to be to send the loans over to another "servicer" Nationstar being their favorite and they are just as bad.....Kick backs are getting spread around like butter.....congress, politicians and the local judges handling these foreclosure cases and rubber stamping them...very scary situation.....I wish these judges would get ON TRACK with the ones that filed the order against them and hit them where it hurts the pocket book!!!!!

No one seems to have the nerve to go up against them but that is nothing new. Banks always win....consumers loose!

Imcompetence and Indifference

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My loan was sold to these idiots. First, they deducted my mortgage payment from my checking account twice.

Everyone has $3000 plus just hanging around in their checking accounts for just such an occasion. They reversed one charge after about three days and then you had to fax them proof you had overdraft charges before they would pay them. Another two weeks to get that money back. When I tried to get a payoff statement to payoff my mortgage they would only snail mail it or fax it.

I don't have a fax or access to one so waited a week to get an incorrect payoff statement. They're sorry, their mistake. I say can I have it Next Day Aired at my own expense. Sorry, we don't do that.

Can you e-mail it? Sorry. They'll fax it to the Walmart in Bagdad but they won't Next Day Air it to your own address.

The customer service supervisor told me they can't do it because the process is automated and no one can get the paperwork before it's put in an envelope and mailed. Please, save yourself a mountain of aggravation and forget you ever heard the name of this bank.

Worst ever

My HELOC has been sold to this company twice over the last eight years and they are terrible. They offer zero customer service, there is no way to make payments online and they call relentlessly when you're late, but offer no one to speak with if you call ahead of time.

American Express bought my loan back at one time and I do not understand why it was sold to these sharks again. It will keep me from working with AE again in the future for any financing needs.

They are so bad, in fact, that I have received two separate checks for overpayments in the last four months.

And even though I have gotten a divorce and proven it to them, the repayment checks come back in both of our names, making it impossible for me to cash them. These guys should be in jail for their lack of professional protocol.

My Sold Mortgage

Bank of America promised me 10 years ago that they didn't sell their Mortgages so I got mine through them. 8 years later they sold me to this band of thieves and made my life *** from day one!

And of course after having a perfect record for 8 years this miserable company blew it in the first week of owning my mortgage. I had to pay late fee's, still don't know why. The 2nd. month trouble was still bubbling and now because of the late fee's right off the bat They won't let me pay by Auto pay which is how I had it B.O.A.

So every month these blood suckers make 5 extra bucks for me paying on line so I'm not late ever again. I wouldn't let this company mortgage my dogs house if the interest was free.

They hold your insurance claim money hostage !!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Your are better off working with organized crime at least you know where you stand. I had major damage at my home in February and since that time this mortgage company has basically held my insurance money hostage.

Everyone who I have worked with since the damage to my home has been wonderful from the great service and response from Erie Insurance (I can not say how great they have been) to the remediator who was at my house in 1 hour to the General Contractor who is putting my house back together to all the other subs who have gone way beyond the call. Then there is Everhome Mortgage these people have put up hurdle after hurdle to get the money the Insurance company has paid for the repairs. I understand the mortgage company needs to be involved. I sent them the entire check for the repairs which was cut within one week of the adjuster coming to my house.

It then took Everhome 4 weeks to send me the first installment. I was paying out of my pocket nearly 20K to get the project going. After that it took over 3 weeks to get and inspector out to my home for the second installment. After the inspector came out it took another 2 weeks to get the second installment.

Here is the kicker Everhome holds back the last 34% until the job is complete and all liens are signed off. So you guess it yes I have to pay the contractor and then fight to get these people to pay the remainder. I am lucky I have some liquid assets but what do others do if they do not. The thing that really bugs me is everything is done in the 1960's style of 6-8 business days like we do not have computers or any telecommunication equipment.

I know it is a way to make money on money I get it but this should be illegal. This is all found money for the mortgage company to play with, I know my amount is trivial but multiply me by many and you get the picture. The other thing is these people never an I repeat never communicate with you. You have to initiate everything.

Today when asking for some of the additional funding to be released I was told it would need to be at 95% complete. My question is how do I get it to 95% complete if I do not have money to pay the contractor.

IF anyone has a mortgage closing and you see the name Everhome run run fast. As soon as this home repair is finished the first thing I will doing is refinance to anyone but Everhome Mortgage.

They are the exact reason why people hate banks. If you work at this company I wonder how you sleep at night.

I experienced the same type of issues with citizens bank. I filed a grievance with the state banking authorities and my funds were released quickly.

The state banking regulators issues fines on banks who are not complaint to state regulations. The all try to make money on other people's money!
