Everhome pulls bait and switch.
Everhome, my loan servicer for 6 years, had approved me for a competitive refinance deal that reduced my monthly payments. Pas part of this, I paid for appraisel which would be reimbursed via a credit they brought to closing.
After I paid for said appraisal and been told I was approved, and nearing the closing, I am informed they sold my loan to Nationstar and could not offer the deal, and presented one much worse. This happened without warning or apology and without any knowledge of this loan officer who had assured me everything was fine.
And without an apology. The loan office who perpetrated this bait and switch was Darrell Taylor at 877-436-**** x10271.

They can't get our taxes right
Every year they underpay our taxes, even though they have been taken out of escroll. They pay $10 on another land parcel and my taxes are $1009.
Then they pay the rest of the escroll to principle and want to raise my house payments.
Three years in a row, now you can imagine what the house payment is now. Then they want to refinance....I have called them, gone to the court house and they first time it happened, my neighbor told me that my house was in the paper in leiu of taxes, how embrassing to find out something like that from a neighbor.

Under the Independent Foreclosure Review Forced Out
In 2008, I went through some tough times, I contacted Everhome regarding a Forbearance. they request several documents which all were provided, unfortunately I was denied.
The counselor stated that I should do a modification, all of my tax information was provided and I was approved for the modification plan. I needed to make 3 payments at the rate at which Everhome approved, which I did. Once I completed the trial they came back and said they were not accepting the offer and foreclosure proceeding would begin. The agent gave me $500 to leave the place clean and sent me on my way.
They turn around and sold the home for $65K. When I purchased it new $192K.
Under the Independent Foreclosure Review they gave me $1500 and said this was fair. How?
They forced me out when they approved the modification. They owe me more!
I worked hard to purchase my home. Any suggestions on how to get my money back?
Everhome Mortgage - Mortgage Review
I prayed that I would one day be removed from Everhome Mortgage. Well,.
thank God my prayers were answered. About 6 months ago I was notified by mail that another bank had purchased my home loan.
Now lets see if there will be a class action lawsuit. /
Automated payment system
Plain and simplthe syse, did not work.
Now I have a mar on my credit because I was willing to pay a late fee to pay on the 30th of the month, even in a mkonth with 31 days.
Perhaps it was because it was Friday, but the monotonous voice on the recording kept repeating "to use our fully automated system to make a payment, press one".
After it cycled 10 or 20 times, I went to the website where the error was "the system cannot process your payment at this time". It didn't let me even try, for any amount!
Now I have to fight them aver the bad credit mark they gave me. I work for a living, unfortunately, they are not open during my off work hours, and apparently neither is their "fully automated payment system".
Everhome Mortgage Mortgage Review
I have battled with Everhome since 2007 , I tried to modify my loan and they raised my monthly payment, I spoke with them and no help whatsoever ,
It was impossible to deal with these people, customer service was horrible, it seems like they pick up people in the corner looking for work and have them speak with clients, they have no clue of what they are talking about! My house was forclosed on and my balance went up by 200,000 and they could not tell me why!
If there is anyone that can explain this to me and help so I can see a little justice! Let me know!
Sent to U.S. department Of Justice at their request.
After speaking with the U.S. department Of Justice on the phone, they asked me to send some details about my experience with Everhome Mortgage and this is what I emailed them:>

This is to alert you about a so-called mortgage management company called Everhome Mortgage having offices in Atlanta, GA., Jacksonville Fl. and maybe other locations, I don't know. Our first communique with this so-called mortgage company was an out-of-the-blue call from one of their reps., telling me they had acquired our mortgage from Bank Of America AKA (BOA) and wanting us to refinance our home. I told him I was not yet aware of such a transaction and that I would not discuss anything until we received official notification from our current mortgage company.
I did not mention our mortgager's name. He started to get pushy, so I hung up on him. We received three more calls from Everhome before we received notification from BOA stating that they in fact had sold our mortgage to this group. I shrugged "oh well" and prepared to go through payment address changes and all that normally comes along when one mortgager sells your mortgage to another.
Then we received another call from Everhome's rep about refinancing and I told him we were not interested and that we would contact them should we change our plans. The rep, who sounded like the same guy that I had to hang up on a few calls before, started to get arrogantly loud again, so I gave him an *** and told him never to call my home again. Feeling kind of queasy about this new mortgage holder, my wife and I decided to send our payment by two day priority mail, with receiver signature required and we don't send checks for payments, only money orders. That way we minimize the amount of our banking information that gets out there.
I don't allow firms access to our banking info if it at all possible. I'm a 27+ year I. T. pro, I know better.
That very same day we received another phone call from Everhome Mortgage, but this time it was their collections department. I asked why were they calling, before our payment was even late once and she said it was a courtesy call, which they do if they hadn't received the payment by the first. I then explained that I'd just mailed it two day priority, with receiver signature required and asked her to take down the United States Postal Service AKA (USPS) tracking & confirmation number. She refused to take it, but asked for our banking information and I refused to give her that, as is my practice.
I suggested they check our pay history, of which I knew they should have received from BOA and also explained that we were well aware of when our payments are due, as well as what date of the month they would be late after and didn't need the calls and to please stop them. She stated that I'd have to send them a written request by mail. I asked why could I not just write the request, sign it, scan it in and email it? She replied saying they were not setup to receive it that way.
"REALLY"? Do you believe that? I think they just don't want any kind of electronic paper trail. In any case, I tracked the payment via USPS online and verified that the payment was received on the scheduled day, a full week before it would have been late.
Since then, we have received at least five calls from Everhome Mortgage's collection arm, stating that they have not received our payment, even though there are two more days before our payment is late. Each time the rep had refused to except the USPS track & confirmation number, until today. Why did they except it today you might ask? Could it be because I informed the rep that they weren't the only one recording our phone calls.
I informed her that as they said they had been doing, I also was recording our calls on my end. Immediately she asked for the USPS track & confirmation number that I had offered so many times before. Our mortgage has been in very good standing throughout the entire time it was held by Bank Of America and CountryWide Home Mortgages, prior to BOA taking them over. Now the even more troubling part.
I decided to do a search online for complaints about this so-called mortgage company "Everhome Mortgage". People, the complaints about them out there are innumerous, all bad and consistent. They receive mortgage payments within alloted time from people, but either they don't post them, or at the least say they haven't received them in order to extract those extremely high late fees that they charge. This is a purposeful scam and you already have enough people out there getting in mortgage trouble because they really can't pay.
You don't need more people getting in mortgage trouble because of criminal activities by so-called mortgage companies. As you can see I and mine are going to be fine because we never trusted these ***-bags in the first place, but how many more folks are going to have to loose their homes because of Everhome Mortgage and cons like them, before some US agency investigates them?
Wife Died and my name is not on the mortgage
I have had two mortgages with Everhome (EverBank) for 30 years. I just paid them off.
The loans were in my now deceased wife's name. After 4 and one half years of sending the death certificate to Everhome, they still will not discuss the loan with me. Talk about stupidity and frustration. This bank is so out of touch I sent the final payment (guessing at the amount because they won't tell me) and it was $55 short for the satisfaction filing fee.
Instead of cashing the check and asking for the rest, they sent the check back to me and started threatening foreclosure. Meanwhile they still won't talk to me. I was successful finally because one person took pity on me and pretended they were talking to my dead wife and sent the final forms out.
If you are wondering how the banking industry has screwed up our economy - look no further the EverBank. I fondly refer to them as EverIdiots after sending the death certificate for the fourth time.
Lost my home
Crooks
some how 15 times my paper work was lost - did not make it to there office- was no date on them - fax did not come in -no SS# was not on my paper work and it was . they could not read my name but they have my loan # on all the paper work .

run far away from this so called bank - mortgage company lets get a attorney the more people come forth the better we can fight Crooks - Liars - scams. lets get the New channels 2-4-5-7 in on the scams
IT IS THE WORST MORTGAGE COMPANY WE'VE EVER HAD TO USE.
Our mortgage was sold to Everhome Mtg. from GMAC.
They are difficult people to work with on so many levels. When with GMAC, we were allowed to split payments so that we would pay bi monthly. We did this for years, never had a problem. As soon as Everhome took over, their main objective has been to make sure their rules are never bent, they do not care what is happening in your life (I became ill, had to stop working, went on disability), and not once did they make any effort to try to help resolve payment plans, etc.
Their ONLY concern is that you get Late charges (even if you pay the late fee w/yr payment) they still charge you. They say to put in writing all the problems you are dealing with in making your payments so they can go to their "Board" and try to arrange a solution to help. Well, we did this, two months later their response was "We're sorry there is nothing we can do to help, either pay all the fees or we'll proceed with our foreclosure proceedings'. They are not here to help you, when we always paid on time before my illness.
Most mortgages companies don't charge you to go online to make a payment, well Everhome makes certain they get their $12 if you do. They are money grubbing, their purpose it simply to collect a debt, so why do they call themselves a mortgage company, and instead DEPT COLLECTOR!!
Thieves and crooks - liars
fill out about 5 loan modification paper work all was got lost . by fax- post office - fed-x - ups - etc..
Never could my rep. to talk to me or call me back. just lies one paper did not have the date on it so they said one other paper did not have name on one other they could not read one other no ss# on this went on for months. no help at all been in the home for 30 years .
now I have 60 days to move out.
all loan paper work was done correctly.
I had to pay an attorney been fighting for about year and a half.
Disgruntled
BOA sold our mortgage to Everhome. We have.
Received NO communication from the new lender until we received a notice that a late fee was added on 7/3/13. Under the terms of our loan with BOA, late fees were assessed on the 16th of the month. In addition, we have NOT yet received any information as to where to make a payment. Payment was made to BOA.
No lender should have contacted us with new payment address and terms of the loan should remain in tact as we have signed NO new loan documents with this company. Mad as *** and not going to take it!

I had a similar issue we were 6 weeks behind they set me up with some program all I had to do was pay Half of my mortgage for 6 months. The day we were officially 3 months they called us and said to pay up or get out, luckily we saved the other half of the payments.
When I called Everhome the next day I talked with a customer service Rep who Explained that the program Everhome put me on was run by an outside company, and he told me it was set up to get us 3 payments behind so it would be easier to foreclose on us.Yet they say BOA is a bad bank.
I had a similiar occurance in 2010. Six payments were never accredited to my mortgage, and my local court judge helped them foreclose and take my home.
Have you taken further action? Did you receive you monies as a final settlement for any damages?
The government seems to have audited them and provoke the lastest mailing of "settlements". The one I received is more than a joke.
Wondering if any joint action might be a possibility? Any info appreciated.
