I am in a similar situation except I did fall behind. I was living in my house and renovating it.

When I fell behind because work got slow, I went to stay with some relatives so I could save to catch up.

I spoke to Everhome and told them that all my stuff was there and I just moved out temporarily. Their contractor has broken into my house SEVERAL times and has damaged property - and they're charging me for this!!!!

Everhome Mortgage - Mortgage

I moved out of state to take a job with the FAA and left my house, trying to sell it. We couldn't sell the house and I couldn't pay for it so, I let it go to foreclosure. My Wife had a chronic illness and she was getting worse so, we decided to move back to the house to be around children and grandchildren. March 23rd, My Wife was lifeflighted to Mayo clinic and was considered stable, she was on a respirator. My son and I moved back to the house, as I Promised to everhome. My Wife passed away on the 3rd of April, we buried her on the 7th. Meanwhile, everhome, rejected my request and sold the mortgage to an unknown party. They never informed me of their decision. I moved into the house on the 26th of March, my Son had moved in the first week of March. I did not get a utility bill until the 10th of April. The rep at everhome said, "here in florida, when you set up utilities, you get a form right away." I am not in florida. I buried my Wife and now her home has been taken away from me due to everhome's incompetence. By the way, I found out by accident that I was screwed. I called Everhome to inform them of my Wifes passing and that I would no longer have her disability check as income. Then I found out they had denied my claim and sold the mortgage on the 10th of April, while I was IN THE HOUSE.

Never do business with Everhome mortgage

Everhome mortgage has held up my refinance for so long that I now have to pay additional money to extend my rate lock. I was doing a loan subordination guaranteed through my company. They promised a 14 day turnaround, however their definition of 14 business days keeps changing. First they said, 14 business days after receipt of loan subordination package, Second they said 14 business days after the documents are received in their loan office from their mail room. Horrible service, unfriendly staff , untrustworthy company - protect your assets and refrain from doing any business with terrible company. Worst mortgage company I have dealt with

Everhome Mortgage- Horrible Service

I tried to refinance with Everhome Mortgage recently and am extremely upset with the service and treatment I received. I thought it would be easier refinancing with the same company who currently held my mortgage but that was far from the case. After over 2 months of constantly jumping through hoop after hoop for them and them making everything extremely difficult for me. They completely missed reading my W-2, and i heard excuse after excuse that my file was in "Underwriting" and there is nothing they can do right now until it comes out. When I asked to talk to "underwriting" (being that it is my file they are working on); I was told underwriting doesnt talk to anyone and I wasnt allowed to talk to them. When they finally decided to return one of my calls they proceeded to inform me that my Rate lock was about to expire and they needed to charge me an additional $200 to keep my rate lock even though my file was still in their underwriting dept. Their excuse was "underwriting has a high volume currently." I am finished dealing with Everhome Mortgage and wouldnt go back to them for the best Refinancing rate in the world!

well be careful with refinancing with other mortgage companies....Everhome services a lot of loans for other big companies so there is a slight change that you might end up with them again, the bad part is that you cannot tell the bank not the transfer the loan to another lender/servicer because part of mortgage states that the loan could be transferred at any point thru out the life of the loan.

Everhome Mortgage - Extremely difficult to even pay them!

Everhome bought my very small second mortgage in 2002. I would like to make payments on their website, but I constantly get locked out of the online acct. And if I do get in, if I'm past the due date, but within the grace period, I get a $3 late fee. I could make a payment with their automated phone service for $15! That is absurd and ridiculous. The only way pay them is to send the a check through the mail and hope for the best. I dread dealing with them every month. Their fees to accept payments are *** and just make things more difficult.

dont trust it.

(Everhome mortgage: code city: Everhome, FL.

They would have tried to take my house earlier but they sent me wamt to foreclose on 832.00 principal since they added over 6,000 in attorney fees illegally to my loan and I am not paying invisible fees suing them...added to my loan.....crooks.

I just tried a loan mod with Everhome after we were hit with medical bills. I faxed documents to them since October and they kept saying they didn't get them or I needed updated ones.

It was ridiculous. Then after 4 months, they said we make too much to qualify. I finally got on line on my account and see that they charged our loan $5,711.34 for "loan maintenance in January!

I'm going to find out what that junk is! Watch them - they are total crooks.

Everhome mortgage in jacksonville,floridia

i have been going through breast cancer for three years my income has went down drastically. i have had two loan modification from ever home mortgage. the first one just made my mortgage payment go down from $1018 to $1005 just $13.00 dollar and a lower interest rate. but the catch was i lost all my 7 years of equity in my house. for that new loan. and the second loan modification shouls of been the first one which is now $700 but a second note on the back in of my loan. am upside down in my house now. so they finance for what it is worth and put the balance on a second note. and i can't even file bankruptcy on it. cause it consider a first mortgage. everhome mortgage is like a predatory lending company but it's also a bank which is relate to them called ever bank i actually did some research on the mortgage company it's a bank called ever bank. harass the *** out of them. i did i just want it them to know how i felt. the president of the company is Robert M. Clements. send him a letter let your voice be heard. even though they always encourage me to sell my house on a short sale. i am not going no where. and if i don't keep it i will let it go in foreclosure it's less money for the mortage company.

Just found out not long ago, after modification when Everhome told me my home was valued at $95,000 that it is valued at $44,000. I ower $89,000 - so I am very upsidedown and the only information I've found about help for homeowners who are upsidedown says the program is voluntary and there is nothing saying how much they have to cut - it could be only 10 percent so that would still put mine at $80,000 on a value of $44,000.

We had started the shortsale process w/Everhome Mortgage in Sept. 2011 they kept putting up roadblocks like not enough info, we then sent them more, 1st fax to them was 121 pages long, then they stretched it out and sent a Realtor out for the BPO, would not let us know...

Suffered a REAL hardship (disability) and was unable to continue to make current mortgage. B of A sold the loan to this even more horrific company.

(there are sources who say that this company is a subsidy of B of A) After three months of trying to get a modification, we were denied--stating we didn't make enough $$. So, due to disability and heart break, we opted to move out of the house, but maintain the lawns and leave the power on, in attempt to sell the house. Have gone thru two textbook buyers, offers above market value, and have now been told by Everhome that we make TOO MUCH money for a shortsale, which is just a flat out LIE. We have HUD approval for shortsale and now have enlisted them to do an investigation and intervene on our behalf.

This company is a fraudulent one, their unwillingness to proceed with an FHA loan on an extremely marketable property is unbelievable!! Our agent has never seen anything like this. We are trying to rebuild our lives after a major life altering experience, have all of the documentation to prove the hardship, and cannot believe the unscrupulous actions of this company. They have us scheduled to foreclose early November--we have had contracts on the property since March!!

We keep losing buyers because they keep dragging their feet and LYING!! Every time the house goes back on the market we have multiple offers above asking price within one week!

HUD approval was for WAY less than what these offers are for.... I hope the feds give it to them HARD!!

Everhome Mortgage - Everhome is not so bad.. you just need to stay on them!

I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in about Everhome, because for months I read these reviews and was sick to my stomach.. convinced I was going to lose my home. Everhome helped us get a modification and save our home after 6 months of no payments. The trick is, you HAVE to stay on top of them, Call EVERYDAY about your paperwork. I had to send it in 3 times. They WILL lose it. But if you stay on top of them, it will get done. the other factor, which I cannot prove, is it helps if your house value is well, not not the greatest. I live in a small town that basically has LOTS of foreclosed house due to all the factories closing. Twice they sent someone to take pictures of our house and assess it. I think it helped that they really didn't want our house! So, basicly I am a voice of hope. Everhome CAN come through.. just stay on them!

Everhome mortgage

Everhome Mortgage is the PITS...........They have Fannie Mae loans, and I thought that they were suppose to help people stay in their homes......... But they're not. They are not trying to help anyone remain in their homes. They tell you to send them all this information, but they use it against you, instead of helping you......Some of their workers are rude, uncaring, and unprofessional. They need to be investigated for fraudulent and misleading practices!!!!!! I am fed up with big businesses-everyone- walking all over me-one of the 99%ers!!! Does anyone else feel my pain and frustration???

Everhome Mortgage is the worst mortgage company

Everhome Mortgage is the worst mortgage company. I would urge anyone buying a home to please make sure Everhome Mortgage is not the company that will hold their loan. I have been pretty much pushed intoa corner where I have had to move out of my home of 8 years because Everhome would not allow me the opportunity to bring my mortgage current recently. I didn't know when they would finally evict me, so I moved in order to avoid being thrown out before my credit was completely ruined. Their customer service is the worst in the business industry.

Everhome is a terrible company. My sister is disabled and tax exempt.

All paperwork was completed in April 2011 and faxed to Everhome by the tax assessor's office. All of a sudden, she is being for taxes by these thieves who claim that "someone" at the tax assessor's office told them verbally that she was not exempt. No name, nothing in writing.

Now they want her to see if the tax assessor will reimburse her. Time to put them on blast with consumer news if we do not get anywhere with them.

Everhome knowingly & willfully violates law, loses payments, refuses to correct problems, tells you they can't tell you anything over phone/forces you to write them or fax them everything and still claim to lose or send responses ignoring portions of your concerns, them/didn't get and you still don't get information about your loan, then when you sue them to find out where the payments are, they add a little over 6,000. to a prin. balance of 800.00 (late fees when not late, increase monthly payment & PMI when taxes and insurance decrease or stay the same) - none of this is Everhome's fault. These are not mistakes, but the actions of criminals. Scan and email everything to Everhome. Call Robert Clements at 1-904-281-6000 (dial by name and use different combinations to figure out their emails since (no lies even match) I was sending them email to document everything but they told me they don't want anymore from me and blocked me-then sent no mail until I sued them- no communication or voice but I set up different name (corporate office no better than others but don't let them get away. We need to occupy Everhome, tie up their faxes, tie up their phones, tie up their mailboxes. When I sued them, their attorney is Matthew and Heather (Gallagher Ebelius - 1-410-727-7702. I assume they charged me 6,000.00 for simply responding to my suit. If Everhome won't take your payments, send them via Western Union, since I believe they would have tried to take my home soooner after buying my loan from Waterfield (never went up and all statements were clear and explained and documented - never seen these legal bills or the alleged increases in my taxes and insurance which caused my payment to be increased over 100.00 monthly (after losing job/disabled income much lower so was trying to have 13% decreased, cancel PMI - taxes went up 220.00 year (Everhome went up a little over 100.00 mo. - trying to force me into foreclosure; now they still have 800.00 payment from last year not credited and they tell me I ask the same questions over and over - no proper ansswer and I will still ask them rather than letting them keep my money.

Call your state's attorney generals, governors, councilmen, senators, press, AARP - whoever you need to...to fight this mortgage fraud machine.

They send people to my house every month to see if I stil live here and charge me 30.00 each time. My home should be paid for, since my balance is 810.00 (still holding 800.00, and when I sued them when they did not send me mail for almost a year, they added these legal fees to my escrow so now prinipal is 800.00 while escrow is -6,000.00 and I am paying my own taxes and insurance this year. Everhome hates to be called crooks and theives, but that is exactly the truth. Don't ever let your guard down and scan and email everything to these people since they hate documentation which is why they tell you to write, write a lot of RESPAs, file complaints through BBB, and Office Thrift Supervision, HUD (they told different lie to each so file as many complaints as you can. Google the employees and sue them personally - Andrea , Robert Clements, when dialing the number, you can dial by name.

I never said I got forclosed on. Everhome Mortgage would not work with me so I could bring my payments current. Are you employed with Everhome Dave? It is Everhome's fault for not giving me the courtersy to discuss options. My personal information will not be discussed, that information is being discussed with the appropriate companies that I am working with. Thanks for your reply, but this is not the time to blame anyone for anything. This site is for pissed of customers and that is what I am at this point. Your opinion does not change anything for my situation. I am a single parent with two children, so please keep the smug remarks to yourself.

Everhome mortgage

I am trying to do a loan modification from Ever Home and sent in the papers months ago, have been paying on time the lower payment they ask for. When I call they tell me they are still working on it. I thought it was done when I signed and had the papers notarized. Now I am worried they might be taking my money and still foreclose. Has anybody been though this. Loss of my income is what started all this and they would not talk to me until I was behind. I need advice been here 16 years now.

I am way upside down and Everhome turned me down twice for a mortgage modification. They recently offered to lower my interest rate and payment but added 5 years on to my mortgage.

Is that really helping?? Ready to do a short sale or walk.

Thinking I need a real estate attorney to protect what I have inthe bank. Does anyone have any suggestions?

#442836

I had this same issue with them. Loss of income put us behind, so we started the "loan modification", towards the end of the process they told us that it wasnt going to change the amount we paid monthly and because of the housing market drop they didnt want to refinance for us due to the drop in value of the house.

They were no help at all, so we basically walked away. After the house was sold at auction $70k less than we were trying to refinance it did feel good to know in the end it was their loss. We moved on and will never deal with them agai.

Now if only the Gov. would include them in the "National Mortgage settlement" it would serve them right and give something back to those who were screwed over.

I went through the same thing. I was just barely behind due to a loss of income and they offered me this loan modification.

I made the minimum payments they asked for and the supposed 4 month process turned in 11 months. They sent people out to take photos of my house and ask me questions and mailed me forclosure letters the entire time and told me that the modification department was seperate from the rest of the company and it was if the two did not communicate with each other what-so-ever. They repeatedly asked me to send more information as well. In the end they finally did modify the loan and I got a great rate and payment amount, but they have royaly screwed my credit in the process.

It's been a year since all of that and I'm still trying to fix my credit. Good luck to you Susan!

Went through pretty much what you did. And they still foreclosed on my home.

However, I was blessed not to owe a dime in the end and I have court papers to prove it. Hate to tell you they will not work with you on it. The best solution for you is to find an alternative and run as fast as you can from these greedy jackals.

By the way, they are one out of a handful of mortgage companies being investigated for fraud by the Federal Government. Which that right there should tell you something.

Everhome Mortgage - Everhome

I recently had my loan modified. Everhome told me I was going to pay my taxes from then on. I found that Everhome did not pay the taxes when they were escrowing them. They then went ahead and paid all my taxes and want double the amount of the mortgage payment. Also they have the gall to charge me interest and penalties on taxes they were escrowing and did not pay on time. Now they are just sending me my money back claiming I defaulted on my loan. Not sure what to do at this point. My original loan stated that I pay my own taxes. My taxes are approx $3250 a year how does it add up to another $800 a month. pmiano@ymail.com
