Everhome Mortgage complaint
My mortgage was sold to Everhome - this was not a company I selected. I have never worked so hard to set up direct debit with any business. I'm pretty sure these folks did NOT want me to pay on time. It took four phone calls and two faxes to set up direct debit. As if that wasn't bad enough I needed to change the bank account a year later. I'm still fighting to make that happen! The customer service reps are always snotty and curt. I have never paid late and just want to let these folks have their money on time every month!

The issues I am having with Everhome, are they constantly screwed with my escrow without any notification. They returned my payment 2 weeks after it was due, saying my escrow had raised aprox. $200 due to the increased cost in my taxes and insurance (neither had raised) upon getting the extra money I resent the payment only to have it refused because I now owed for 2 payments. They are refusing to accept payments unless its for the FULL amount behind. We made the mistake of telling them I can get the full amount by my next payday, only to get the response well it will be going into foreclosure the day before..

We closed with Everbank in April, were sold at closing to Everhome (part of the same group). We gave them a PO Box mailing address on all correspondence. Our residential address was only listed in the residential history. Our mailing address was NOT the address of the property we financed, but they had that info too.

Somehow, they decided that the residence was the right place to send correspondence - not the PO box, not the new address.

We sent the temporary payment stub in with a check on 4/30. They never received it. They started calling on 5/3. We gave them the right address information. We did a payment by phone that cleared on 5/13. We cancelled the check they never received the same day.

Between closing and May 13th, they sold us to CitiMortgage. We never received info on that either! We finally spoke to a rep who gave us the CitiMortgage customer service 800# and we corrected all the bad data Everhome gave them. Citi has been just fine.

BUT Everhome also forwarded our may payment to them! Ha ha. Now they want US to pay them for it because they sent it to Citi. They say Citi won't return the money, but Citi has never heard anything about it.

Everhome STILL has never sent us ANY statements or other documents but their rep Cheryl Moses harrasses us daily to pay our May payment.

It's their mistake - they sent it to Citi. They need to talk to Citi. We'll be taking action if they continue to harrass us for their mistake. :(

You ain't kidding- I am out 700 dollars while they play games about dropping the PMI and still cannot get my appraisal from them! They gave some crazy paperwork to NOT re-fi my house which I have had 6 years... years and NEVER a late payment! What do you do except go to another co and get another mortgage! They never call back and they never give you a straight answer!

I neglected to say that the reason the check wasn't honored was that the Everhome agent wrote down the wrong account number - they transposed 2 digits!!

I am having MAJOR trouble with Everhome. We got behind on the mortgage. They set up a payment plan. I gave them a check over the ***. It didn't clear for almost 2 weeks. I called daily. They told me it was fine. I called 8 days after the check was supposed to post. They said the check was returned. After having a snippy rep tell me that I was losing my house, and asking 3 times for a supervisor, I finally spoke with one. She re-set the payment plan & said I didn't have a payment for 4 weeks. I hung up. Knew that couldn't be right & called back. I was right - another payment was due in 2 weeks. If I hadn't done that, we would have been in default & they could have foreclosed. They don't seem to all be on the same page. They gave me the incorrect payment amt as well. I will pay the amount that I know is correct! I don't like dealing with Everhome!

I have given up on direct debits, I could not take dealing with their reps any longer.

I have been mailing payments, have seen funds clear my side in time, but been charged late fees. Now it almost seems as if they are playing with processing mailed payments. West palm to atlanta is a 2 day delivery, but some mailed payments have not cleared for 10 business days, what gives?

I cannot agree anymore, Everhome Mortgage customer service reps are unprofessional and not knowledgable about services. Every time I call them I get a different answer. I wish my mortgage was not sold to them.

Everhome is a foreclosure specialist. They like to buy loans that are past due and forclose as soon as they can. They don't give homeowners opportunities to work out payment plans. These people never answer the phone or reply to letters.
